2016's UK National VGC and TGC tournament will be held in Liverpool this year, featuring the 2016 ruleset. The venue's address is:

It will be held between the 14th and 15th of May, and as well as having the normal VGC and TGC events, there will also be a Pokken Tournament Championship Series, that will also be present at the World Championships!



There are only two age divisions as of now, Masters - born in 2000 and earlier, and Seniors - born in 2001 and later. Only 1st and 2nd place are guaranteed trips to the Pokken Tournament World Championships, however the top 32 will gain CP.

As many of you will know by now, a new generation of Pokemon games was announced recently through the special Pokemon Direct. This will be the 7th generation of Pokemon games, and are confirmed to be releasing in late 2016, however little else is known so far.

Also confirmed in the Direct; you can now transfer pokemon from the Red, Blue and Yellow versions to the Pokemon Bank!

Just like the title suggests GAME stores around the UK are giving out Mew for Pokemon's 20th anniversary! It comes at LV 50 and is available for Pokemon; Y / X / Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire so get out there and grab one for each! (you may have to wear a disguise)

Great news and great hype as Nintendo released information about a new Android and IOS game that'll catch even the oldest of Pokémon fans hearts! Pokémon GO is an incredible use of AR for Pokémon as it uses the REAL WORLD as a map rather then a virtual map based of something in the real world. This will get you trainers everywhere searching around for Pokémon all around the globe.

But if that isn't enough of a realistic experience for you Nintendo are actually working on a little device call the Pokémon GO Plus witch will go around the wrist and connects to your smart phone via Bluetooth and will notify you about events in the game such as a Pokémon being close by. It notifies you with vibrations and an LED light and also lets you catch the Pokémon, all without having your phone in your hand!

It was relived on The Official Pokémon Channel on YouTube that Pokkén Tournament will be released on the Wii U in Spring 2016 world wide! Other then the trailer on the channel I haven't found much other information, but I'm sure everyone is looking forward to this! The game has been made by Namco Bandai and The Pokémon Company.

Mark Mcquillan from Edinburgh (PWUK'S own woopahking) has done what he was incredibly close to doing last year, which is win the Pokemon World Video Game Championships! He placed first in the Seniors division after defeating Koki H of Japan to bring home the trophy.

Like many Trainers, Mark built a strong team around Charizard and Cresselia. But his Cresselia was very different from the norm, knowing the support moves Toxic, Skill Swap, and Trick Room. His Machamp is rarely seen, but it has a wide variety of moves to help out its teammates, such as Dyanmic Punch, Wide Guard and Knock Off. His Heatran was in lockstep with his Charizard, with two Fire-type attacks and Solarbeam.
