Pokemon AlphaSapphire and OmegaRuby Mega-Thread!

Hey, I feel like this site could do with a central thread to discuss all things ORAS related, especially since it has just came out yesterday in the UK.
So without further ado, get discussing!

I got the game myself a couple hours ago, soft resetting for a decent Mudkip, wanting a +Attack nature with decent IV's, but not getting anything even remotely good so far :/

*EDIT - Got an impish w/ 20-31 IVs in HP and Attack, with Special Attack being 0-31. 0-19 for the rest. Settling with this for sure.

I'm up to gym 4 but not caring about getting anything good yet, just doing the story so I can get training quicker

Ah fair enough, i've only gone for a decent starter and currently sr'ing for the event beldum, again a decent one, nothing amazing.
After that, it's casual playthrough up until latias i believe which will be soft resetted for as good a spread i can get

I've been having lots of fun, currently soft resetting for a Calm Latias with decent IVs

Best I've had so far is:
Calm: 31/x/31/31/31/10-13

I'm going to stick with that, also will check what Hidden Power type as it may be good in Tailwind.

As you already know Latios is one of my favourite pokemon for so many reasons (as well as the fact he is blue lol), but I am not that far yet. Did you just use a master ball or did you grind through for ages?, if so it won't half of taken a life time to get there.

That was the LATIAS from the storyline - you basically get given it for free, no battle (although you do have to battle team aqua alongside steven quickly) - Just make sure to save as soon as Lati@s takes you onto Southern Island, then soft-reset to your heart's extent.

I plan on getting the Eon Ticket at some point... somehow... maybe if one of us PW'ers can get it then have a meetup perhaps? With that I will Master-Ball the Latios (since I have Alpha Sapphire) and try for near-flawless (aka. 31 IV in Speed, Sp.Atk and HP, with Def + Sp.Def 27+)

The eon ticket was a one day event you could only get by a code through streetpass and the buzz feed feature. If you want to meet up with me I'm afraid you would have to come all the way to Leeds to do it as there is no way my parents will drag me some where just for someone else's benefit.
Leeds centre isn't to hard to find your way through though, there is the headrow where GAME is which would make an ideal place to meet at. Where do you live again?

Im fully aware of that Alex, what I meant was that at some point in the future, PokemonWorld.org.uk as a group has a meetup with at least one person attending who has the ticket, to share the ticket between us and to have a fun day out. Obviously this is all conditional and i'm not sure if it would be feasible for the foreseeable future yet

And for reference I live by Oxford (effectively, about 30mins bus away) so I dont really expect to go out of my way to meet someone just for Latios yet

Hey guys, firstly my Powersave should arrive soon so i can then get some balls and wings traded over for soft resetting and finding out IVs more accurately - also cloning perhaps.

Secondly, I've soft resetted two Pokemon today, Cresselia and Rayquaza.

Cresselia is something like 31/x/31/28-29/31/26-27 Calm

Rayquaza is 31/31/31/31/16-17/31 Jolly (second reset too - only kept due to looooong cutscenes)

Add that to my Calm 31/x/31/31/31/10-13 Latias and i have some nice spreads Imo

Next project is Thundurus, and will most likely go for a nice Modest spread

Got a Jolly 31/31/31/31/31/27 Latios, chuck that away and keep going, if it were 29 speed I would keep

Enjoying playing through Alpha Sapphire, just beat the main story and moved on to the delta episode.

In terms of my resets:
Kept a Timid 31/xx/31/31/31/24 Latias, because the cut scenes before and after were too long and because I can still outspeed most meaningful stuff.
Kept a Timid 31/0/31/31/27/31 Kyogre, largely down to the fact that I KO'd it as part of the main story and was able to rebattle it after defeating the E4, avoiding those long cutscenes

Ok today while at my tech college I managed to get a male mild natured and somewhat vain Latios with an IV spread of 30-31 HP 0-3 attack 7-9 defence 30-31 sp attack 31 sp defence and 30-31 speed which I am sure is on relatively superior level. Would you honestly say the overall IV spread is good enough, or what it be worth me resetting for 5 perfect IV's?

Well that's definitely nice, however that low a defense is really going to kill you. Personally I would go for 31/x/26+/31/26+/31 but 30 gives the same stat as 31 at level 50 so that helps, Im currently sr'ing latios too (eon ticket) which is taking a LONG time compared to the others, I got some REALLY good spreads, especially my modest thundurus in relatively short time (within a day or two)
